Hannah Pollie is based in the Midlands, a Black Country wench* illustrator and artist whose main interests lie in narrative illustration, picturebooks and community projects. Completing an Illustration Masters with Falmouth University, she achieved a Distinction, backed by years of developing her own brand and creativeness.

She creates using analogue mediums. Mainly paint, pencil and mixed media, but if it can make a mark or can be stuck down, she’s tried it and probably got it on her! Those marks are created by fluid movements, layering and textures. Her practice is a celebration of creating: colourful, inspiring, and thoughtful. Layering textures, colours, and details to tell a story of how they see life; they aim to shine a light on the world we live in, sensitively and honestly.

Her inspiration comes from human connections, social issues and nature. A big advocate for women’s equality, mental health awareness and inclusivity. Recent projects have included ‘Rouse Ye Women - Cradley Heath Women Chainmakers Fight For Change’, ‘Message in a Bottle - Don’t Bottle it Up!’ and ‘Fair? Share!’.
